Evaluation on what I learned in my Edtech 1

Educational technology is a learning technology, it is the study and ethical practice of facilitating learning and improving performance by creating, using and managing appropriate technological processes and resources. The term educational technology is often associated with, and encompasses, instructional theory and learning theory. While instructional technology covers the processes and systems of learning and instruction, educational technology includes other systems used in the process of developing human capability. Educational Technology includes, but is not limited to, software, hardware, as well as internet applications and activities.Having a computer in the classroom is an asset to any teacher. With a computer in the classroom, teachers are able to demonstrate a new lesson, present new material, illustrate how to use new programs, and show new websites.What better way to display your student's work, than to create a web page designed just for your class. Once a web page is designed, teachers can post homework assignments, student work, famous quotes, trivia games, and so much more. In current day society, children know how to use the computer and navigate their way through a website, so why not give them one where they can be a published author. Just be careful as most districts maintain strong policies to manage official websites for a school or classroom. Blogs allow for students to maintain a running dialogue, like a journal, of thoughts, ideas, and assignments that also provide for student comment and reiterative reflection. Wikis are more group focused to allow multiple members of the group to edit a single document and create a truly collaborative and carefully edited finished product. Truly, our experiences in life is a real thing wherein we could really learn a lot. It is the best type of education.
This subject is such an interesting and so challenging one. I discovered some things in computer surfing that could be a big help in the field that I am now taking. I really learned a lot in the activity which about the blog. It could motivate me to explore some ideas in the computer and discover some new things that would be a big help to me. It is just easy to post your assignments and create quizzes in the website and post it to the blog which I owned. I also learned a lot in making class record using the microsoft excel. It would be very easy to compute grades of the students by just a click of a mouse. Making a class record and computing grades is not a big burden in the part of the teacher because of this kind of technology.
When I will be a teacher in the near future, I will apply all those things I've learned in this subject. I will use excel in making class record and computing the grades of my students. I will require each of my students to have an "e-mail" account such as the "gmail" one. I will post some projects and assignments in that particular account and it would be easy for me to check their work.
